Karen Vega, DO
is the founder of Vega Hands On Osteopathic Care LLC and a board-certified osteopathic physician specializing in neuromusculoskeletal medicine. She provides physician-led osteopathic evaluation and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) at the clinic’s Vinings and Buckhead locations in Atlanta.
Dr. Vega earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency training in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital. Her background also includes teaching osteopathic manipulative medicine and techniques to medical students.

Vega Hands On Osteopathic Care is a self-pay medical practice. Visits include a physician evaluation; OMT may be provided when clinically appropriate. Insurance is not billed by the practice. Eligible patients may request a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement, subject to their plan’s requirements.

A thoughtful, individualized approach
Dr. Vega takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, review their health history, and assess movement and areas of restriction. When clinically appropriate and with the patient’s consent, the visit may include individualized OMT.
Her approach emphasizes clear communication and patient education. She explains her findings and recommendations so patients can better understand their care and take an active role in decisions about it. OMT is not appropriate for every person or condition; recommendations are based on Dr. Vega’s evaluation and medical judgment.
